In the Infinite Loops, Looper is a catch-all term for a being or entity aware that their world is in a time loop. Loopers are often major characters in the fiction that exists in the Hub (our world).
Loopers will "Wake up," or become aware that they are in a time loop, at some point in a Loop's iteration and remain "Awake" until they either die or the Loop ends. Note that a given Looper may or may not be Awake during a given Loop iteration, only the Anchor is guaranteed to be Awake. Prematurely ending a Loop is possible, but not recommended. While a Looper is Awake they have access to their memories of every time they have been Awake previously, their universe's baseline memories, and any memories that their "Sleeping" selves might have made during the Loop. Looper memories trump any memory erasing that had occurred before the character became Awake. Thus it is possible for someone to erase memories of the Loops though it will only last for one iteration.
Loopers are allowed to do nearly anything with their time in a Loop so long as it does not cause a premature Loop crash. Causing a Loop crash creates extra work for the Admins and will usually result in the Looper(s) responsible being placed in an unpleasant "Punishment Loop" for their next iteration. Loopers are also asked by their Admins to not become a being that exists in more dimensions than the world they are currently in can handle. To become aware of more dimensions than the universe is A BAD THING!
