Espio the Chameleon is the ninja member of the Chaotix, as well as the team's hacker and saboteur. He also likes to practice pretending to be Unawake to see how good a Stealth Looper he can be.
Early Loop Activity[]
Espio and the other Chaotix tend to either help Knuckles defend the Floating Island and the Master Emerald, or run a detective agency that is often teetering on the edge of solvency.
At some point, Espio started a bet with Vector to see which was superior: Espio's Stealth Looping or Vector's detective skills. It's been a pretty close contest so far.
Abilities[]
Fused and Variant Loops allow Loopers to gain abilities beyond what would be accepted as normal. Espio has displayed the following abilities:
- Chroma Camo: Being a chameleon, Espio can blend in with his surroundings to the point of invisibility.
- Stealth: Being a ninja, Espio can move without making a sound when he wishes.
- Ninja Skills: In addition to stealth, Espio is well versed in martial arts and ninja weaponry.
- Stealth Looper: Espio is currently honing his ability to remain undetected as a looper through a competition with Vector to see if he can fool his friend more often than his friend can find him out. Espio is currently winning, but not by nearly as much as he'd like.
- Power of Rock: Espio has learned how to use rocking sound waves offensively. Recently he and the other Chaotix obtained magical musical instruments (from Sonic as payment for some old debts) that can split the ground and manipulate the weather in a local area. Espio plays guitar.
- Transformations: Espio has picked up only one known transformation at this time.
- Espio Man: Shortly after Espio and the others helped get the Megaverse online, it was discovered that the events had left each of those involved with a benign glitch in their Yggdrasil code that could be tapped to transform into their Roboticized Master selves and back.
- Subspace Pocket: An ability nearly every Looper learns, Espio can take an object and "hide it away" from the rest of the world. An item in a Subspace Pocket will remain there even if a loop resets unless the object in question is also Looping.

The Chaotix: Espio is the ninja, hacker, and saboteur of the team and is good friends with all of its members.
Proto Man: Espio has a great deal of respect for the red raider.
Knuckles: Espio is an old friend of Knuckles and trusts him completely.
Shade: Espio is polite and courteous to the part-time Chaotix member.
